What is an "Indirect Thesis" Statement?

An "Indirect Thesis" statement does not give the reasons, but specifies that there are a limited number, usually three.

A Direct Thesis statement, on the other hand, spells out all the reasons in the order they will be presented in the paragraph or essay.
